2 a day – 10 in play
For years, companies have had challenges in teaching distributors how to use the tools they provide to help build their business.
DVD, CD, brochures, magazines, whatever…. How can you effectively teach everyone to do it the same way.
Consistency, simplicity, effectiveness – all factors in the systematic use of using really good communication tools.
We’ve been teaching a simple method that is simply called 2-a-day & 10-in-play and it works like this.
A distributor is taught to hand out two of best recruiting tools every day and follow up within 48 hours. And, they should keep 10 of them in circulation at all times. So, when the follow up occurs and the prospect either says ”yes, I would like more info” or “no, I’m not interested at this time”, the tool used in that exposure is considered to be out of play. So, it needs to be replaced.
Keeping this system rolling allows the distributor to go from scared to effective in a short amount of time. It’s not critical to be a good salesperson to make this work. In fact, good sales people often don’t make good distributors because what they can do is not really duplicable. It takes years to become a good sales person. This system allows anyone to make a decent enough presentation WITHOUT learning to sell. Instead, we teach them to “share” the message through the tools rather than hone their skills in selling.
Two reasons why this works.
#1 – Everyone understands it – it’s easy to teach and explain
#2 – Everyone can actually see themselves doing it. One of the big challenges to getting into a direct selling business is that very few people consider themselves to be sales people. But, they are more than willing to ‘share’ something they are passionate about with their friend and family. The tool allows this sharing to happen easily.
BIG KEY – this system (and the tools used in it) are primarily built for the newest, most excited and most scared distributors. It gives them a fighting chance to succeed and begin growing into real leaders. Since most of your business comes from people that have been in your business less than a year, this system is ideal. Instead of making your top leaders use this system – encourage them to teach this system so they can attract more people that may actually grow into top leaders themselves.
Give your new distributor s chance. Consider your training and make sure it’s geared toward the new guys.
